Memere's Peonies

Today it's raining, much needed in my neck of the woods and also a chance for some of the yucky yellow pollen to wash away. I thought it would be a great time to show you the gardens I recently weeded and mulched. First off is a picture of Memere's peonies (my husband's grandmother) that I mentioned in a previous post. They are just outside one of my windows and every now and then a breeze blows in their wonderful fragrance.

Here are views of my side and part of my front yard (foreground) which are still a work in progress and probably will be till they take me away. I couldn't imagine that I would ever be completely done with my yard heck, I still tweek the areas that I think are done.

Here are some pictures of my rock garden on the "island" in front of our house. You can see them in the above pictures.
Here are pictures of a garden on the side of my house, I plan on doing more work with this one this summer, I want to "hide" the concrete foundation. Hopefully, I will get it finished, if not there is always next year!
Lastly, a garden along the roadside stonewall that I have been putting Sea Roses in a little at a time, actually two of my sons work at a nursery and for Mother's Day last year and the year before they gave them to me. I want at least 4 more but they are not doing as well as I thought so I am holding off until these look better, if they don't do better I will move them. My thought was that since they are all over the place at the beach, along the side of the road and in what looks like poor soil they would do great in this garden along the road??
Enjoy your day!

I really enjoy hearing your comments, sorry I had to turn on the "word verification" but I got my first comment from a "non-person".......I prefer comments from people.
